Fasting mimicking diet oncology investigates metabolic interventions as a potential approach to resensitize therapy-resistant tumors. Fasting mimicking diet cancer therapy, metabolic intervention cancer, differential stress resistance cancer cells, valter longo fasting cancer and nutrient deficiency tumor cell therapy together form the scientific basis for this innovative research approach, which is based on 30 years of juventology research.
The metabolic intervention tumor uses the phenomenon of differential stress resistance: healthy cells protect themselves under nutrient deficiency, while differential stress resistance tumor cells shows that cancer cells become more susceptible. Valter longo fasting therapy tumor approaches may enable the resensitization of resistant tumors.
nutrient deficiency cancer cell treatment exploits fundamental differences between healthy cells and tumor cells. This innovative interwencja metaboliczna rak research opens up new perspectives for oncology.
Vitamins for cancer: benefit or harm?
A CONGRESS LECTURE BY DR. MED. REINHARD BECKER, iQMEDIX
Do vitamins protect tumor cells - or the patient? What current research shows
Vitamins are considered a natural part of a healthy diet. But in oncology, a more complex question arises: do they support the patient – or could they also promote tumor growth under certain circumstances? The answer depends crucially on the dosage, vitamin type and individual patient profile.
In this lecture, Dr. Reinhard Becker will shed light on the differentiated role of vitamins in accompanying cancer therapy – on the basis of current studies and with specific points of reference for doctors and therapists.
Metabolic intervention cancer – basics of FMD research
Metabolic intervention cancer is based on the principle that tumor cells and healthy cells react differently to a lack of nutrients. Metabolic intervention tumor concepts make targeted therapeutic use of this biological difference. Research into metabolic intervention cancer shows promising results in overcoming resistance to therapy.
Differential stress resistance – Why cancer cells become more vulnerable
Differential stress resistance of cancer cells describes the core phenomenon of FMD research: when deprived of nutrients, healthy cells activate protective programs, whereas cancer cells cannot. Differential stress resistance makes tumor cells selectively vulnerable to attack. This differential stress resistance of cancer cells is the scientific key to the therapeutic potential of FMD.
Valter Longo Fasting Cancer – 30 years of juventology research
Valter longo fasting cancer research is revolutionizing our understanding of metabolism and tumor biology. Valter longo fasting therapy tumor approaches are being investigated in clinical trials for their effectiveness as a supplement to standard therapy. Valter longo fasting cancer findings open up new perspectives for integrative oncology.
Nutrient deficiency in tumour cells – resensitization of therapy-resistant tumours
Nutrient deficiency tumor cell therapy aims to overcome resistance mechanisms of cancer cells. In combination with chemotherapy or immunotherapy, nutrient deficiency tumor cell therapy can improve the effectiveness of existing treatments. Targeted nutrient-deficient tumor cell therapy is a promising approach in modern oncology.

Vitamins in oncology: What doctors and therapists should know
In the following video presentation from the 3rd iQMedix Therapy Congress, you will learn which vitamins have been shown to have anti-tumor properties in current research – and which substances should be used with caution in high doses. Dr. Reinhard Becker will show how individual gene expression analysis can help to tailor vitamin recommendations precisely to the patient profile. The lecture will also provide an insight into specific therapeutic approaches such as vitamin K2 pulse therapy and high-dose vitamin C infusion and how they differ from oral intake.
NOTE: The following video documents a specialist congress lecture. The contents represent the scientific discourse and are not a therapy recommendation. Therapeutic applications require official approval and medical supervision.
MOLECULAR DIAGNOSTICS AND SCIENTIFIC QUESTIONS
Vitamins, dosage and tumor biology: what the research shows
WHICH VITAMINS HAVE ANTITUMOR PROPERTIES?
Vitamin D3 and vitamin K2 are discussed in current studies with antitumor properties. For vitamin D3, target values of up to 60 to 80 ng/ml in the blood are described, whereby higher daily doses appear to be more effective than very low doses. Vitamin K2 shows cytotoxic properties on certain cancer cell lines - with particular sensitivity in leukemias, lymphomas, myelomas as well as colorectal and lung cancer. Vitamin B3 (nicotinamide) is also associated with a reduction in recurrences of light skin cancer in one study.
WHICH VITAMINS SHOULD BE TAKEN WITH CAUTION IN HIGH DOSES?
Caution is advised with vitamin B12, folate (B9), vitamin A and vitamin E in the case of high-dose supplementation. High doses of folate are described as "two-faced": both a deficiency and a significant excess are associated with an increased risk of cancer. In smokers, supplementation with vitamin A or beta-carotene can increase the risk of lung cancer. For vitamin B12, a daily intake of less than 25 micrograms is considered safe - significantly higher doses, as found in many commercially available preparations, are viewed critically.
WHAT IS THE PARADOX OF VITAMIN C?
Vitamin C has opposing effects depending on the dosage: In low to moderate doses, it has an antioxidant and protective effect on healthy cells. From an infusion dose of around 15 to 20 g, the effect is reversed - vitamin C can then have potentially cytotoxic effects on tumor cells. This high-dose application, known as ferroptosis, is not comparable to oral intake and requires specific preparation and follow-up.
HOW DOES VITAMIN K2 PULSE THERAPY WORK?
Since antitumor properties of vitamin K2 are only observed at very high concentrations, a pulse therapy regimen has been developed: The vitamin is taken in high doses for around two to three days and this cycle is repeated at regular intervals. Vitamin K2 is considered to be well tolerated by healthy cells, even in high doses. This approach is classified as experimental in research.
WHAT ROLE DO IRON AND METFORMIN PLAY IN THE CONTEXT OF TUMORS?
Iron is classified as a critical substance in the context of tumors: An existing deficiency should be corrected, but high-dose applications without a proven deficiency are not recommended. When it comes to resistance to therapy, studies have shown that the diabetes drug metformin has a potentially interesting effect on sarcomas and tumor stem cells, which are often difficult to treat due to high antioxidant levels.
Process & results
From blood to findings: vitamin recommendations on a molecular basis
WHAT GENERALLY APPLIES TO TUMOR PATIENTS?
Correcting vitamin deficiencies in physiological doses is generally considered safe and sensible for tumor patients. High-dose supplements are critical – especially for vitamins A, E, B9 and B12. Vitamin D3 and K2 are exceptions: Here, even higher doses are positively evaluated in research. For vitamin D3, optimization to target values of up to 60 to 80 ng/ml is recommended, whereby the actual concentration in the blood must always be measured.
WHICH VITAMINS ARE ASSESSED IN THE FINDINGS REPORT?
Based on the individual gene expression profile, the iQMedix findings report evaluates a selection of therapeutic substances – including natural substances such as vitamin C, vitamin D3, vitamin K2 and other micronutrients – according to their potential effectiveness on the specific tumor. A distinction is made between evidence of sensitivity, low sensitivity and evidence of resistance.
Vitamins for cancer in action: What you can expect in the video
MOLECULAR DIAGNOSTICS IN PRACTICE
Which vitamins should a patient with an active tumor avoid – and which can possibly support the therapy? In the video, Dr. Becker discusses specific case constellations and shows why the same substance can lead to contradictory results depending on the dose and patient profile.
WHY DOES THE DOSAGE DETERMINE BENEFIT OR HARM?
The vitamin C paradox is the most impressive example: protective at low doses, potentially cytotoxic at very high doses. In the video, Dr. Becker explains the molecular background – and which clinical points of reference can be derived from this for doctors and therapists.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AN EVIDENCE-BASED VITAMIN RECOMMENDATION AND A BLANKET RECOMMENDATION?
Dr. Becker answers this question using specific study examples – and shows why the individual tumor history can be an important guide for differentiated recommendations in patient consultations.
Individualized therapy support in oncology
The research vision of iQMedix – to provide each patient with individually tailored therapy support using state-of-the-art RNA gene expression diagnostics and new therapeutic approaches – is also reflected in the differentiated assessment of micronutrients such as vitamins. What is generally considered healthy can have a different meaning in an oncological context. The CTC-based analysis makes these differences visible at a molecular level – as a basis for the discussion between doctor, therapist and patient.
