How do you come to one of our tests as a patient?
Not all doctors are specialized in the latest methods of cancer diagnostics. In addition, personalized diagnostic procedures are not yet covered by statutory health insurance as a standard service, which is why our tests are not yet offered in every oncology practice.
For this reason, we offer patients the opportunity to access our molecular biological analyses with their trusted doctor or with one of our experienced specialist doctors. This allows you to benefit from our advanced personalized cancer diagnostics even without a special referral.

Make an appointment for a blood test with your doctor
The blood sample is taken by a doctor you trust or a doctor in our network. Important for chemotherapy patients: Schedule this appointment at the earliest 10-14 days after your last chemotherapy.

Take the blood collection kit with you to your doctor's appointment
Bring the blood collection kit you received from us to your doctor’s appointment. After the blood sample has been taken, it will be collected by our courier service and transported to our laboratory.

Inform us about your blood collection appointment
Please let us know when and where the sample is to be collected by e-mail or telephone at least one day before the scheduled blood collection. We need the location, date and a time window of 2 hours for our courier service.
This is the only way we can organize the collection of the sample from your practice.

Discuss the results with your doctor
The report is prepared within approx. 10-15 working days after receipt of payment from the patient, depending on the case.
Arrange a consultation with your doctor to discuss the test results. We will send the test report directly to your doctor.
Using molecular biological analysis, we identify the individual action profile of a tumor and find the therapeutic targets.
The measurement of RNA gene expression values is closer to the tumor process than a pure Mutation analysis. This measurement can be used to determine the specific and current action profile and characteristics of important tumor signaling pathways.
Liquid biopsies can be used to obtain fresh, living tumor cells easily and painlessly.
Tumor cells can also be obtained from regions of the body that are often difficult to reach for conventional tissue biopsies, such as the lungs, pancreas or brain.
Tumor cells can also be obtained from urine, ascites or cerebrospinal fluid.
If tissue biopsies are available, these can also be used. This provides a wide range of options for obtaining tumor cells.
The iSELECT and iComplete tests provide decisive insights into:
– the aggressiveness of the tumor
– the manipulation of the immune system by the tumor
– drug resistance
– the activity of relevant signals
– the effectiveness of certain substances
The measurement results are assigned to therapeutic substances based on recognized studies, giving the treating physician options for targeted therapy.
The tumor cells are usually extracted from a blood sample, followed by analysis of the RNA to determine the activity of genes. However, the tumor cells can also be extracted from a biopsy, urine, cerebrospinal fluid or ascites.
The blood sample can be taken by your attending physician or a physician from our network and is a minor, largely painless procedure.
The therapy options obtained with the iSelect or iComplete test show personalized and targeted therapy options for the individual tumor, which the therapist can implement. Furthermore, substances that are unsuitable for the individual tumor, e.g. those used in chemotherapy, are also identified. This makes it possible, for example, to identify highly toxic therapeutic agents that the tumor simply passes through and exclude them from therapy.
Our iPREVENT test shows whether and how many tumor cells are found in the blood.
If there is a significant increase, conventional imaging procedures such as MRI or PET-CT should be used to confirm the findings.

The laboratory work takes approx. 10 working days. A report is then written, which can take approx. 1 – 3 working days depending on the complexity of the case. The report must be sent to the attending physician due to legal requirements in the case of cancer. He can then forward the report to the patient.
Reliability depends on various factors, including the test method and the quality of the sample taken. In many cases, however, Liquid Biopsy tests are a reliable complement to other diagnostic methods.
