Personalized cancer diagnostics

Insights into the latest developments in personalized diagnostics

How gene expression analysis is revolutionizing tumour diagnostics

Cancer is still the number one cause of death in people under the age of 70 – a frightening statistic that affects us all. But modern medicine offers new hope: our RNA gene expression diagnostics support the selection of the most promising individual therapies, taking into account all current tumor treatment options.

RNA Sequencing Tumor Diagnostics – High-Resolution Gene Activity Analysis

RNA sequencing tumor diagnostics enables comprehensive analysis of all active genes in tumor cells with single-cell resolution. RNA sequencing cancer diagnostics identifies characteristic transcription profiles that define specific tumor types and subtypes. With rna sequencing tumor diagnostics, researchers can now precisely track dynamic changes in gene expression during tumor development and identify therapeutic targets.

Transcriptome Analysis Tumor Diagnostics – Decoding Complete RNA Landscape

Transcriptome analysis tumor diagnostics provides a complete picture of all RNA molecules in tumor cells for comprehensive molecular characterization. Transcriptome analysis cancer diagnostics combines different RNA types like mRNA, microRNA and long non-coding RNA for holistic tumor profiling. These transcriptome analysis tumor diagnostics approaches enable discovery of new biomarkers and development of targeted therapy strategies based on individual tumor RNA signatures.

Biomarker Profiling Tumor Diagnostics – Identifying Therapeutic Targets

Biomarker profiling tumor diagnostics uses expression data to identify prognostic and predictive biomarkers for personalized treatment approaches. Biomarker profiling cancer diagnostics integrates machine learning and artificial intelligence for pattern recognition in complex gene expression data. With biomarker profiling tumor diagnostics, clinicians can now predict therapy response and detect resistance mechanisms early.

Expression Patterns Tumor Diagnostics – Tumor Signatures for Precision Medicine

Expression patterns tumor diagnostics analyzes characteristic gene activity profiles for exact tumor classification and prognosis. Expression patterns cancer diagnostics enables development of molecular tumor subtypes that go beyond morphological classifications. These expression patterns tumor diagnostics procedures create the foundation for a new generation of personalized cancer medicine with tailored treatment protocols.

The vision

A world in which cancer can be chronicled

In the following video presentation from the 2nd iQMedix Medical Congress, you will learn first-hand how gene expression analysis is revolutionizing tumour diagnostics and what groundbreaking possibilities it opens up for personalized cancer therapy. The presentation will show how modern Liquid Biopsy methods and targeted gene expression analyses can already fundamentally improve the treatment of cancer patients.

The vision is clearly defined: A world in which cancer becomes a chronic disease, using state-of-the-art personalized RNA gene expression diagnostics and new therapeutic approaches to give every patient hope and more time to live in better health.

Liquid Biopsy

A paradigm shift in cancer diagnostics

Why is Liquid Biopsy so revolutionary?

Traditional tissue sampling (biopsy) is often invasive and not always feasible. Liquid Biopsy, on the other hand, offers a 10 to 100 times more sensitive method for detecting malignancies and measuring the incidence of MRD (Minimal Residual Disease).

Understanding the four stages of cancer development

Stage 1

Local tumor

Stage 2

Locally advanced tumor

Stage 3

Lymph node infestation

Stage 4

Metastasized tumor

“Early diagnosis is the key to successful
tumor management. It can save lives and increase the
chances of maintaining long-term health.

Comprehensive diagnostics: more than just blood

Wide range of sample materials for precise results

iQMedix can not only analyze blood samples, but also:

  • Sputum (lung area)
  • Urine (urogenital area)
  • Tissue (direct tumor analysis)
  • Cerebrospinal fluid (brain)

From circulating tumor cells to precise tumor information

The process begins with the isolation of CTCs from blood and leads to valuable diagnostic information in several steps:

  1. Isolation of circulating tumor cells from the blood
  2. Extraction of mRNA, synthesis of cDNA
  3. Measurement of 85+ gene expressions using qPCR
  4. Analysis of expression patterns and assignment of therapy options

Personalized therapy options:
Precision instead of a watering can principle

Gene expression analysis as a compass

“Measuring the gene expression profile reveals, among other things, highly expressed genes that indicate in which areas the tumor is particularly active.
More importantly, the signals indicate which therapies could be successful and which less so.”

Comprehensive therapy options

The modern treatment spectrum includes a wide range of available approaches:

Complementary substances include, among others:

  • Berberine, Boswellia, Curcumin
  • Sulforaphane, resveratrol
  • Vitamin C, Artesunate
  • And many other natural active ingredients and off-label medicines

Pharmaceutical therapeutics include:

  • Cytostatics
  • Hormone therapeutics
  • Kinase inhibitors
  • And many other targeted drugs

What is the testing of genetic expression levels of cancer cells?

Using molecular biological analysis, we identify the individual action profile of a tumor and find the therapeutic targets.

Why should the RNA gene expression levels of cancer cells be tested?

The measurement of RNA gene expression values is closer to the tumor process than a pure Mutation analysis. This measurement can be used to determine the specific and current action profile and characteristics of important tumor signaling pathways.

What is the advantage of a Liquid Biopsy?

Liquid biopsies can be used to obtain fresh, living tumor cells easily and painlessly.
Tumor cells can also be obtained from regions of the body that are often difficult to reach for conventional tissue biopsies, such as the lungs, pancreas or brain.
Tumor cells can also be obtained from urine, ascites or cerebrospinal fluid.
If tissue biopsies are available, these can also be used. This provides a wide range of options for obtaining tumor cells.

What information does the testing of genetic expression values of cancer cells provide?

The iSELECT and iComplete tests provide decisive insights into:
– the aggressiveness of the tumor
– the manipulation of the immune system by the tumor
– drug resistance
– the activity of relevant signals
– the effectiveness of certain substances
The measurement results are assigned to therapeutic substances based on recognized studies, giving the treating physician options for targeted therapy.

How is the measurement of gene expression data carried out?

The tumor cells are usually extracted from a blood sample, followed by analysis of the RNA to determine the activity of genes. However, the tumor cells can also be extracted from a biopsy, urine, cerebrospinal fluid or ascites.

Which doctor will take the blood sample?

The blood sample can be taken by your attending physician or a physician from our network and is a minor, largely painless procedure.

How does testing gene expression levels influence cancer treatment?

The therapy options obtained with the iSelect or iComplete test show personalized and targeted therapy options for the individual tumor, which the therapist can implement. Furthermore, substances that are unsuitable for the individual tumor, e.g. those used in chemotherapy, are also identified. This makes it possible, for example, to identify highly toxic therapeutic agents that the tumor simply passes through and exclude them from therapy.

Can the testing of gene expression levels be used preventively?

Our iPREVENT test shows whether and how many tumor cells are found in the blood.

If there is a significant increase, conventional imaging procedures such as MRI or PET-CT should be used to confirm the findings.

What are the costs associated with testing gene expression levels?

Please contact us about the free consultation so that we can find the right test and tell you the associated costs.

How quickly can gene expression test results be obtained?

The laboratory work takes approx. 10 working days. A report is then written, which can take approx. 1 – 3 working days depending on the complexity of the case. The report must be sent to the attending physician due to legal requirements in the case of cancer. He can then forward the report to the patient.

Are the results of genetic expression testing reliable?

Reliability depends on various factors, including the test method and the quality of the sample taken. In many cases, however, Liquid Biopsy tests are a reliable complement to other diagnostic methods.
